ASHWAGANDHA LABORATORY TESTING

‘Transparency & Trust’ is the motto for our brand. Three-time product testing and upholding an open and honest relationship with our customers serve as the foundation for this motto.

We at Dr. Ashwa Me utilise stringent testing procedures before releasing products on the market to guarantee the highest calibre Ashwagandha tinctures. Our testing is carried out by a third-party, market leader in supplement testing in the US.

WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR IN LABORATORY TESTING?

We test the concentrations of all of our ashwagandha products according to industry standards. Then, to ensure that all products are safe for daily use, we go a step further and test for metals, chemicals, and pesticides content.

Every time a new batch of Ashwagandha is released and tested, we update our lab test results to keep our clients informed. By doing this, it helps to make sure that the customer is fully aware of all that they buy and consume on a daily basis.

We think that using the best formula possible with premium ingredients is necessary to get the full benefits of ashwagandha. Which is why we developed Dr. Ashwa Me!

ANALYSING THE RESULTS OF A LAB TEST

We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and transparency. We ensure that our products undergo rigorous testing by third-party laboratories to guarantee their purity, potency, and safety for daily use. To help you better understand the results of these tests, and accompanying reports, here’s a simple guide:

Certificate of Analysis (COA): For each batch of our Ashwagandha products, we provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) that details the results of the laboratory tests carried out. You can find the COA on the relevant product page or by scanning the QR code on the product packaging.

Third-party lab: On the COA, verify the name and accreditation of the third-party laboratory responsible for testing. This information ensures that the laboratory adheres to strict quality standards and guidelines, guaranteeing reliable results.

Test & batch date: Confirm that the test date on the COA is recent, which ensures that the product has been tested within an acceptable time frame.

Product identity: Verify the product’s botanical name (Withania somnifera) and its common name (Ashwagandha) to ensure that you are evaluating the correct product.

Active ingredients: For Ashwagandha products, the primary bioactive compounds are withanolides. Check the COA for the percentage of withanolides, which should be within the range specified on our website and product label. This information confirms the product’s potency and efficacy.

Potential contaminants: The COA should include test results for potential contaminants, such as heavy metals, pesticides, and microbiological impurities. Compare the values provided with the acceptable limits set by regulatory bodies, like the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) or the European Pharmacopoeia (EP). Our products are tested to meet or exceed these standards, ensuring your safety.

Properties of Ashwagandha: Review the results for parameters such as color, odor, taste, and appearance, which should be consistent with the product’s specifications.

Shelf life: The COA should provide information on the product’s stability and recommended storage conditions. Ensure that you store the product according to these guidelines to maintain its quality and potency.

We hope this helps you to better understand how to analyze our laboratory test reports for our Ashwagandha tinctures. If you have any more questions or need any assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact our customer support team!
